    We'll cover off some common issues here Use ctrl + F to find your particular error.

    Unable to delete your character/need a PIC to delete character
    • Login to your character and type @enablepic. Logout and then log back in again, and you'll need to set a PIC so you'll be able to delete your old character.

    • You're likely missing game files. First, restart your computer and then try Castela.exe.
    • If that isn't working, turn off your anti-virus completely, unpack the game files again and then try Castela.exe.
    • If that doesn't work, re-download the files from our website, but use the files link (it will take you to Mega.nz)
    "Unable to connect to server" even though server is online
    • Check your firewalls are disabled
    • Close the game, right click Castela.exe and go to properties. Go to Compatibility and set it to Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or 3)
    • Restart your computer

    Getting a black screen when trying to login - then disconnection
    1. Go to Control Panel.
    2. Click on Network and the Internet.
    3. Then click on network and sharing center.
    4. In the list at the left side click on "Change adapter settings".
    5. If you have any "Loopback adapters" / "VMware networks" you need to right click on them with the mouse and disable all of them.
    Issue with the CastelaUpdater.exe application
    • Ensure you have winzip installed. The updater will only work with winzip.
    • The default language on your computer needs to be changed to English.
    Cash Shop disconnects me
    • Close the game, right click Castela.exe and go to properties. Go to Compatibility and set it to Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or 3)
